64th Annual Exhibition Carshalton Camera Club The 64th Annual Exhibition of the Carshalton Camera Club will take place on Saturday 8th June 2019 at Carshalton Methodist Church, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 3DE. Gill Peachey LRPS will officially open the exhibition at 11.00am. She will award the Roy King Trophy for the Best Panel. The exhibition will be open between 10.00am and 5.00pm. Admission is free. Throughout the day there will be a chance to take part in a raffle, buy light refreshments and vote for your favourite pictures. Carshalton Water Tower The Water Tower opens each Sunday in the month from 2:30-5:00pm unless otherwise stated. Admission £2 adults, children free. The Hermitage is open on the first and third Sunday in each month (when the Water Tower is open) from 2:30 - 4:30pm. Admission £1 adults, children free. The Water Tower is available for hire and private tailor made tours can be arranged. Keeping Chickens: Saturday 13th July 2019 Saturday 13 July 2019, 10am 1pm at Benhill Allotments, Sutton This one day workshop is led by local, experienced tutors, who will introduce you to and help you to learn the basics for keeping your own chickens. The venue of the course will allow you to see different ways chickens can be housed, the maintenance needed to keep them and what they need to eat for their health and wellbeing. The course also offers you the chance to handle and meet a range of breeds so you can decide what suits you. The day is an informal way to find out more and speak to those in the know, to help you find out more. All welcome and no experience is needed. Cost £30.
