This work is Version 2 of three original versions of The Blue Wave of 2020 produced by the artist. It does not advocate for any political party, but offers a prediction of how the voters may be expected to express their preferences in 2020, based on trends at the time the work was created. The many different variations of blue within the wave is an expression of the many diverse people and interests that will need to coalesce, and work together cooperatively as opposed to criticizing and even attacking one another, to form such a wave. What could the white possibly represent within the blue wave?
The artist notes that although his works are generally inspired by events that have occurred, they are also often foretelling of events that will be occurring after the work is completed. Only after election day in November, 2020 will we see how foretelling this work has been.
