The thing I am eyeing next is… anything from the new Gucci collection, and especially the tweed jacket with the Sheffield dogs.
An indulgence I would never forego is… keeping flowers in the house. When I first moved to New York, my mother insisted that I always keep at least one flower in my apartment at all times. It’s the same now in Dallas.

An artist whose work I would collect is… I love all of the Abstract Expressionists. I have a very small collection, yet always have my eye on adding more.

I love to read… many biographies, historical fiction and parenting books. On my nightstand now are The Big Disconnect: Protecting Childhood and Family Relationships in the Digital Age by Dr. Catherine Steiner-Adair, Three Sisters, Three Queens by Philippa Gregory, and The Six: The Lives of the Mitford Sisters by Laura Thompson. If I weren’t doing what I do, I would be… a historian. If I didn’t live in this city I’d live in… Charleston, because I love the appreciation they have for their history and their great sense of Southern style.
The best gift I have received is… my friendships.
