THE SOUTHERN KENTUCKY PERFORMING ARTS CENTER
2013 - 2014 SEASON
A MESSAGE FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SKyPAC’s 2013-2014 Season continues to take our patrons “Beyond Expectations.” As the houselights go dim, you and your seatmates are transported to new worlds and experiences through great entertainment. Each season SKyPAC presents more performances, more variety, and continues to go beyond expectations. This season is no different. Please join us. I especially look forward to the 2013-2014 expanded Broadway Series. The coming season offers five musical favorites: the acclaimed Johnny Cash musical Ring of Fire; the Best Musical of 2010, Memphis; the 2013 Tony Nominated hit Bring It On; the new rip roaring Eighties tinged Rock of Ages; and rounding out the year, after two successful years on Broadway, The Addams Family based on the bizarre and beloved characters created by Charles Addams. There is no better time to become a series ticket holder. Our season, for the first time, includes TWO performances of each Broadway show, so if you order your tickets soon you can be assured of great seats. And the Director’s Series adds additional value with five exciting and varied productions.
Remember, series subscribers receive exclusive benefits such as discounted ticket prices, no exchange fees, and a payment plan option. In addition to these great benefits, subscribers have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets and make exchanges prior to shows going on sale to the public. We are especially grateful to our members whose generous support allows SKyPAC to provide these performances and outstanding education opportunities so everyone can enjoy the arts. Information about how you can become a SKyPAC member in support of all these programs can be found inside this brochure. Join me, please, as SKyPAC continues to exceed your expectations. Sincerely,
Tom Tomlinson Executive Director and CEO

Although Cash is never impersonated, Ring of Fire’s train ride takes us on a musical journey through the life, times and tunes of the legend that is ... JOHNNY CASH. “RING OF FIRE, is simply put, two hours of great country music and a loving tribute to the man who wrote and performed some of the best that’s ever been recorded. It is the music of Johnny Cash, and for Man In Black fans, it doesn’t get better than that.” - Steven Stanley, LAStageScene.com

DIRECTOR’S FLEX FOUR The Church Basement Ladies SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2014 7:30PM
The Church Basement Ladies series of Musical Comedies is back with the fourth installment, A MIGHTY FORTRESS IS OUR BASEMENT. The Church Basement Ladies are once again required to face change head-on. Against the changing tide, these pillars of the church stand strong in their faith and in their friendships with more crazy antics, more great new songs and more lessons reluctantly learned. Audiences from coast to coast have fallen in love with these residents of the church basement, and all agree that each new installment gets better and better. What’s more, you do not have to have seen past installments in order to know what’s going on. As the St. Paul Pioneer Press says, “The genius in the writing of Church Basement Ladies is that familiarity with previous incarnations is optional.”
