“There was a standing ovation. The audience on their feet, clapping and cheering.” NARC.

An excited buzz as they streamed out, chatting excitedly about their favourite song, their best bit. I overheard someone say “I feel like I’ve been to an actual gig!”… filled with heart warming humour, poignant emotion, and an all-encompassing feel-good vibe. We’re most definitely fans.” NARC.
“Alongside the comedy, great acting and musical in jokes they really can belt out a tune to get the crowd going. Definitely one for those who like a sing along and the variety of era spanning hits means there’s something for everyone. We would recommend for any music lovers out there” NIGHTS OUT NEWCASTLE
REVIEWS 2016 BRIDGING THE GAP AWARD “This is a great, fun show for any fan of music. It’s for anyone who has ever bought tickets first, then worried about how they’ll pay for them or get there or get home much later. No wonder the audience were so enthusiastic with their applause at the end. Fabulous.” NE THEATRE GUIDE

It is not only a treat for your ears but visually stunning too, as the cast use the limited set to take you back into your childhood and into their stories…An absolute must see.” TEENS KNOW WHAT’S UP [Blog]

TESTIMONIALS ‘One of the reasons we were so excited to be working with The Six Twenty was to help support them reach and engage new audiences. The performances of FANS held at ARC did incredibly well, and succeeded in finding an audience not typical of our Theatre and Dance programme. We are really excited to see how both The Six Twenty grow as a company and how FANS develops as a piece of work. Daniel Mitchelson (Programme Coordinator) ARC, Stockton ‘We made a perfect match for Sunderland Stages between FANS and Pop Recs, a cult Sunderland venue that is part music venue, part record shop and part café. Whilst the space was small and the show had to be adapted for the space it proved ideal for the audience which comprised a wide variety of people. It was especially enjoyed by the Cuckoo Young songwriters group who attended en masse and stayed around to meet and talk with the cast at the end.’ Helen Green (Director) Sunderland Stages “The FANS clubs were a great idea, and audience members visibly enjoyed seeing their contributions to the show. We would definitely programme another The Six Twenty production.” Katie Catling (Producer) Northern Stage, Newcastle
AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT ‘Our audiences thoroughly enjoyed FANS. The wrap around activity such as the FANS Clubs and the pre-show musicians photo-shoot genuinely added to the overall audience experience.’ Matthew Blyth (Audience Development Officer) Arts Centre Washington FANS includes a strong participation programme which includes an ongoing call out for real life stories which are interwoven into the show. Anyone can contribute. FANS CLUBS
