We are an expanding inner city school and we have created the new role of Deputy Headteacher to join our school family. Your fresh eyes and communication skills will help us move beyond our recent inspection grade of good. We expect you to do this using a range of leadership skills which promote high quality learning, positive relationships and our place in the community. The applicant should: • Show excellent relationships with pupils and understand the range of support that children need. •

Be an outstanding teacher, with experience across the primary age range. You will be able to show all of our practitioners how to reach a similar level. You will be class based with a 0.6 teaching commitment initially. This will be reviewed as we move close to our capacity in 2015

• Promote the school’s expectation of the highest possible levels of achievement for pupils whatever their needs and circumstances • Have experience of rigorous tracking, data analysis and lead on whole school summative and formative assessment • Show proven senior leadership experience in school improvement, performance management, monitoring and self evaluation • Lead by example, coach and mentor staff and lead teams effectively • Be an excellent communicator, with strong levels of emotional intelligence and proven experience of working in partnership with pupils, parents and the wider community In return, we can offer: • A friendly and supportive team of colleagues. Herald Listing Plymouth Association of Primary Heads

We propose to place an advertisement in The Herald each week to point applications at The Schools’ Post Website. This will help to generate more enquires to the site and therefore increase the number of hits. There will be an additional charge for each position that is listed (The more schools that use it - the cheaper it is). The estimated cost of this additional charge ranges from £50 to £70 for each position, depending on the amount of positions advertised. A minimum of 2 positions will have to be advertised to ensure these rates can be offered. The cost, including the cost of the Herald listing, is still substantially cheaper than a full advertisement in the Herald.
