BIG RICHARD ROCKS HARD ALL NIGHT!!! That’s their slogan you know… Well, now you know if you didn’t already… Surely you have seen Big Richard out and about in The SCENE Magazine area and beyond, right? In March alone, the band performed live like every other night! Every Tuesday night at Union Tavern… I caught them out at Sherlock’s Baker Street Pub (Clear Lake) last month and Big Richard’s performance was very fresh and a lot of fun to watch. Drummer Charlie Carlisle means it when he says, “We like to play a variety of music to try and get everyone in the crowd involved. We don't want to leave anyone out of the party.” I do believe him. The band performs only covers and only those covers in which they “enjoy playing, what crowds like to hear, and what is a good fit for each singer’s vocal range.” Big Richard has been a band since November 2009 and the current lineup has been in place since the first day of 2011. The members are Will Wadkins (guitar, vocals), Travis Comer (lead Guitar, vocals), George Thomas III (a.k.a. G3 and bass guitar, harmonies, sound, lights), Dewayne Gaspard (keys, percussion, vocals) and Charlie Carlisle (drums and he says “wackiness,” but I say “instigator.”) Who would have thought the statement “Tell me about the band” would go so horribly (yet strangely entertaining) off

My favorite cereal is Fruity Pebbles, and I am not sure about the rest of the guys. Will thinks fart jokes are the funniest thing. Travis loves to shred his guitar to "butt-rock" music. G3 is seriously silly and has two clones. Dewayne is a cross between Flavor Flave, Tommy Lee and Mike D.” Awesome to know! Now, what can you tell me about the band’s unique name?
