Informal meetings, product launches, fashion shows, private dinners and various parties from end of year functions, wedding receptions to leaving parties. Plasma screens ensure you can play your presentation or slide show through your laptop, and you have your own sound system! Just bring in your Ipod or laptop and you can be the DJ! We have flexible floor plans and have no problem swapping furniture around. If you want to decorate‌. Go for it!!! And if you need to make speeches, we have a microphone & speaker on site. We want you to have a stress-free experience, which is why The Royal has a full time functions manager to help you organise your function. We will try to accommodate any quirky requests you may have.

The Royal Is Very Adaptable We can accommodate group bookings for lunch or dinner. Or if you just want an area for a group to chill out and have drinks and nibbles, just let us know in advance and we will endeavor to have the perfect space for you and your party.

No Hire Fee Instead of charging a fee, we require that you or your guests meet a minimum spend on food and beverage. The amount depends on the day of the week, the time of the year and the function format.It is important to note that if the minimum spend is not met we will require payment of the outstanding amount at the end of the function. This is because the minimum spend incorporates having exclusive use of our private room and Facilities with the public blocked.

The Royal Has 3 Private Rooms Available For Hire The Red Room Located down in the underground bar, but has its own separate room to the side of the bar. We call it the red room because it has fabulous red carpet! This room can be used as a dining room, corporate meeting room or as a chill out room. If the Underground Bar is not booked out, you have free use of the entire level. In the Red room, you can feel at ease with its soft colours and cute chandelier. The Royal Has 3 Private Rooms Available For Hire The Piano Bar Located on our mezzanine Floor. This light gorgeous venue has many qualities. As you walk up the stairs, look up and you will see our sparkling chandelier. There is a large balcony overlooking Lambton Quay. The balcony is our designated smoking area and has a covered awning. The Underground Bar Located below our ground floor bar, to the right of the entrance of the building. It has a very English style pub feel to it. Cosy and warm, with a beautiful wooden staircase as your entrance. Friday evenings upstairs in the Piano Bar would be a minimum spend of $3000.00 Saturday evenings in the Piano Bar would be a minimum spend of $1000.00 FOOD & BEVERAGE No Food and beverage of any kind may be brought into The Royal by the customer or any of the customers guests or invitees unless prearranged and approved by the functions coordinator. PAYMENT Payment can be made by cheque, direct debit into bank account or credit/eftpos card. Complete payment must be paid 7 days after function. LIABILITY The customer agrees to be responsible for any damage done to the function rooms or any other part of The Royal at which the function will be held, by the customer, his guests, invitees,employees, independent contractors or other agents under the customers control. The Royal will not assume or accept any responsibility for damage to or loss of any merchandiseor articles left in the venue prior to, during, or following the customer's function.
