Hello!

As we step into 2025, The Roses is proud to celebrate an incredible milestone—our 50th anniversary! The Roses is more than just a theatre; it’s a hub for our community, where memories have been made and shared for half a century. To mark this momentous occasion, we’ve planned a year of celebration that’s filled with exciting events and plenty of opportunities to reminisce.

We’re kicking off the celebrations with Golden Memories: 50 Years of Your Stories. This project is all about you—our wonderful audience. We want to hear your stories, whether they’re heartwarming, hilarious or downright ridiculous! Your memories are at the heart of The Roses’ history and no topic is off-limits.

Of course, we’ve got some big names gracing our stage! Comedy fans can look forward to performances by the brilliant Ed Byrne, Angela Barnes, and Chris McCausland.

But that’s just the start. Our programme is packed with variety: from jazz and folk to disco nights, talks with legends like Jimmy White, and even an adult pantomime!

We’re also looking forward to our Burns Night Whisky Tasting on Fri 24 Jan—an evening that promises great company, delicious whisky and a perfect way to toast the new year.

So, whether you’ve been with us from the start or discovering us for the first time, we invite you to join in the celebrations. Here’s to 50 golden years and many more to come!
