Editorial This month, I am going to be discussing summer break. I will be discussing summer break because it’s almost the end of the school year. Anyway, summer break is a fun time and I’m sure you all know that, but I have some tips to make it even funnier and more enjoyable. Here are the tips1. Try to keep cool. Studies show that when you are hot, you become more violent. So stay cool :-)! It may make you happier and healthier. 2. Exercise every day. Scientific evidence shows that you can be happier if you exercise. So exercise and burn off some of those ice cream calories. 3. Wear light-colored clothes. If you wear light-colored clothes, they (your clothes) absorb less light & hence less heat. So next time you go outside during summer, it might be a good idea to wear pink! Anyway, this is Prantik, chief of the River Times signing off for the year. I hope to see you all next year! Good-bye☺

RITechA’s Got Talent By Prantik This month, the first RitechA talent show happened on the 16th. It consisted of a motley of acts, most of them relating to music. Some examples of acts were: martial arts, singing, and dancing. Overall, from the cheers and whoops of approval of the audience, the talent show was a hit. Every act turned out with great reactions from the audience. Judging from the size and noise level of the audience, next year’s talent show will bring a larger and louder crowd!

Memorial Day After World War I, as the day came to be observed in honor of those who had died in all U.S. wars, its name changed from Decoration Day to Memorial Day. Since 1971 Memorial Day has been observed on the last Monday in May. This year it is celebrated on May 26th. It originated during the American Civil War when citizens placed flowers on the graves of those who had been killed in battle. We pay tribute to all our soldiers showing gratitude and thanking them for what they have done and sacrificed. The day has also come to signal the beginning of summer in the United States.
