8” (20 cm.) h. Seated upon a paper mache dog with flannel hide and amber glass eyes, removable head for use as candy container, is a bisque head doll with blue glass eyes, open mouth, wooden block torso and limbs, original costume. Generally excellent. Germany, circa 1900, all original. $400/600

Bisque socket head, small blue painted eyes in downcast expression, black upper eyeliner, one stroke tapered brows, closed mouth with very full lips, brunette mohair braided wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: K*R 101 26. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt from their art character series, circa 1909, the doll was marketed as “Marie”. Value Points: very choice doll is all original including wig, body, body finish, and costume comprising dress, undergarments, stockings and shoes. $1100/1500

Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, their model marketed as Mein Liebling. Value Points: very beautiful example of the beloved doll, with choice bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish, original multi-layered antique costume with matching lace trim. The doll appeared on the cover of Theriault’s June 1980 auction catalog, and has remained in the collection of the winning bidder for the past 38 years, until this time. $3000/4000 57
