Good news at last Good news for buyers and sellers in Sussex area as the latest research by Countrywide Mortgage Services has revealed that mortgage applications grew by 20% in March, reaching levels not seen since the recession began. March experienced the third consecutive month of mortgage application increases with overall volumes for the three months of 2010 9% up on 2009, based on the activities of Countrywide’s network of 700 mortgage consultants. Recent application increases could be accredited to a renewed sense of confidence among customers and an increased number of products to choose from. The overall number of mort-

gage products increased by 8% in March on the previous month. The research also reveals that a growing number of mortgage customers are opting for fixed rate products, which made up 61% of applications in March.
