CAMP DETAILS We are very excited about what we expect to be a GREAT WEEK! Euroventure is designed for students who are have completed 6th-12th grades or the European equivalents (ages 12-19 yrs). Euroventure is sponsored by the International Baptist Convention. Euroventure is a great place for students to understand what a relationship with Christ is all about. It will also provide a training ground and next-level experience for students who desire a deeper walk. This year we will have the theme:”You are not your own” based upon 1st Corinthians 7:22-23 Once again we will offer some amazing activities during the week of camp for instance White water rafting, Tobogganing and hiking in the gorgeous Swiss Alps. Euroventure is filled with a good balance of spiritual growth times, physical activity, fun & games, fellowship and worship. We expect students to have the maturity necessary to participate in Euroventure in accordance with the rules you will find in this packet. Please make sure you communicate these to your students clearly and know that we will be depending upon the adult sponsors to see that this happens. Euroventure is going to be a fun opportunity for your students. However, our greater purpose is to help them grow deeper in a relationship with Jesus Christ! Please note that we will be offering a special training time for youth workers & volunteers during the breakout sessions. We are very excited about the opportunity to have youth workers from all over Europe together for a time to be encouraged, receive training and resources, as well as connect with other leaders.

Worship @ Camp: This summer the musical portion of Euroventure will be led by Doug Pierce and Band. Doug is a regular at the IBC men’s SkiRetreat. His upbeat worship style and amazing love for the Lord will be a blessing to all as we prepare to hear God’s Word brought to us by an awesome father and son team this year. Tom Hufty and son Zac will lead the morning and evening worship times for Euroventure 2011. Their personal styles of speaking will capture your attention through truth and humor. They consider each other their best “guy” friend and actively reveal their love for God’s people by sharing His Word and helping students discover, develop, and demonstrate God’s purpose for their lives. Euroventure 2011 will be Tom and Rhonda’s 15th year of involvement with the camp. “We love this camp. We can’t wait to return each year and see familiar faces and meet new friends. It has been a lifechanging experience for the entire Hufty family.” Please note that Registration will not begin until 12pm in Grindelwald. Camp will officially begin at 4pm. Camp ends Thursday at noon.

LOCATION The Downtown Lodge is a special kind of hostel, which differs clearly from most youth hotels. The Downtown Lodge (DTL) is a village of 5 lodges. Three completely equipped lodges with a total of 185 beds are rented as group houses. In the two other lodges there are a total of 92 beds. In the heart of Grindelwald the DTL is the right accommodation for groups of up to 290 persons, just five minutes from the train station and mountain railways. The Lodge is the best starting point for hiking areas of the breath-taking landscape around the Eiger, Mรถnch and Jungfrau. Right around the corner, you will find many restaurants and shops. All Lodges are large, furnished with a kitchen and lounge. There is a bistro in the main lodge with a gamezone and TV/DVD available. In the summer there are many things to discover in Grindelwald: hiking, biking, swimming, etc.

_________________ Date

______________________________________ _________________ Name of participating youth (one form per youth) Birthday (MM/DD/YY)

I/We understand that there is a risk involved when Rafting and I/We hereby give permission to the staff of Euroventure 2011 the guides of Alpin Raft to authorize treatment of any required emergency medical procedures for him/her, if the need should arise. I have talked to my student about safety and the importance of following the instructions of the guides.

My student has permission to participate in the optional White Water Rafting trip during Euroventure 2011.

Please brief your student on the importance of listening to and following the trained guides instructions. This is a fun activity, Students who work together as a team and value their safety and the safety of others, will find this trip to be a real highlight of the week.

The rafting company we will be using is: Alpin Raft (www.alpinraft.ch) They have more than 20 years of experience providing adventurous activities.

Once your student has paid for White Water Rafting it is NONREFUNDABLE. If your student decides at a later time not to take part in the White Water Rafting, we will not be able to give you a refund.

Please remember to bring this signed permission-slip and the 100 Swiss Franc to camp with you. We will take the signed permission-slip and the money at registration. Please send a short e-mail to: youth@faithbaptistchurch.de if you plan to participate, the e-mail is not binding, it just helps us estimate the expected number of participants it just give the Rafting company a number to work with in planning this activity.

In order for your students to be able to take part in the White Water Rafting, they must be 15 or older and be able to swim. We will also need the proper permission from a legal guardian.

Once again this summer we are offering White Water Rafting! This activity is a recreational option on MONDAY afternoon only. Since it is optional, the cost is not included in the registration fee. The cost is 100 Swiss francs for the rafting.
