• Please note that all squad members will reside on campus or commute from within the Senatobia City Limits. • The squad cheers at football and all home basketball games. • Practices will be in the afternoons Mon.-Fri. with occassional Sunday afternoon practices, as necessary. • The fight song will be taught during the Friday night session of tryouts and at NWCC Cheer Clinic preceding tryouts.

Northwest Cheer Clinics offer prospects the opportunity to learn stunt, tumbling and cheer elements required at the spring tryout. You are expected to know how to stunt before tryout. Saturday Clinic dateS

Clinics costs $20 per clinic per participant. Please indicate if you plan to attend on your NWCC Cheerleading Tryout application.

Tryouts are open to male and female cheerleaders. Co-ed stunt group and all-girl stunt group positions are available. overall personal presentation: 0-15 pts Appearance/Physical fitness 0-10 pts Personality and overall attitude 0-5 pts Tumbling: 0-20 pts Standing back handspring 0-5 pts | with spot 0-3 pts Standing back tuck 0-7 pts | with spot 0-5 pts Tumbling pass 0-8 pts

Stunts: 0-25 pts Requirements Extension 0-3 pts Lib, full down 0-5 pts Basket Toss (flyers) 0-7 pts Optional (difficulty, overall performance) Stretch, full down 0-5 pts Additional stunt 0-5 pts

dance/Cheer/chant: 0-15 pts Rhythm and motions 0-5 pts Facial expressions and eye contact 0-5 pts Voice projection, intensity and volume 0-5 pts

Interview: 0-15 pts Interviews will be conducted on the Saturday morning of tryouts by NWCC Cheer Staff.

Sponsor Recommendation: 0-10 pts The NWCC Cheer Sponsor will contact all current/ most recent coaches and sponsors the week prior to tryouts via e-mail/phone.

Try outs will take place in the South Gym in the McLendon Center on the Senatobia campus. You must be at both sessions.
