The Raggamuffin is an online journal of poetry and poetry-related matters. It was founded in January 2011 in Sydney, Australia and its philosophy is centred on the radical notion that all voices deserve to be heard.
Too often these days young poets are discouraged by ‘esteemed’ literary journals that only publish work by already-published authors and poets, who often turn out to be friends with the editors.
The Raggamuffin promises to be different. We want to read good poetry by people who are being shut out of having their voices heard due to this bias in publishing and the stuffy guidelines of old.
Here at The Raggamuffin, we believe that your voice is as important as any published and widely-read poet.
If you have something to say, let’s hear it.
Furthermore, The Raggamuffin editors promise not to be technophobes and will be accepting submissions by email.
