The University averages 11,500 students in each regular semester and 4,500 students each summer term. In addition there are about 1,300 faculty and staff members. The University provides housing for approximately 42 percent of SFA’s students, both married and single. Other students live off-campus in private housing or commute from other communities in the East Texas area.

All ads more than 18 inches in height must be built to fill the complete 21-inch page height and will be billed as such. Double truck ads must be either 8, 10, or 12 columns wide and the depth of the page. All double truck ads will be centered through the gutter.

For all sizes, the local insertion rate is $85 per thousand. National rate is $145 per thousand. Inserts follow the same deadline schedule as display ads. Deliver or drop ship inserts to: The Pine Log, c/o Lufkin Daily News, Attn: Ferris Fain, 300 Ellis, Lufkin, TX 75902.

classifieds Classified ads in The Pine Log are individual advertisements which run in an area with a “Classified Ads” heading. The minimum size of a classified ad is 2 column inches (mechanical measurements 1.77 x 2 inches). Base price for a classified ad is $10 per insertion or $17 per week (two insertions). Classifieds that include more than 25 words will be charged for the additional space at the regular rate of $6 per inch per insertion. All ads must be paid for in advance. The Pine Log will not be responsible for errors after the first day of publication. Classified advertisers may cancel their ads at any time, but payment will not be refunded.

payment and billing Statements, with tearsheets included, will be sent to each advertiser between the 1st and 5th of each month. Payment will be due by the 10th day after receipt of the statement and will be considered past due after that period. Payment not received after 30 days will result in a halt of further advertising until payment is received. Payment not received after 30 days will be forwarded to the University Fiscal Office for action. Advertisers are required to prepay for insertions until credit is established.
