born in 2021 as a result of the love and passion that four friends Cata, Laurita, Aleja and I have for animals, especially dogs and cats that live in street conditions, abandonment and mistreatment in Colombia. Just to give you an idea, in Colombia it is estimated that at least 2 million dogs live in street conditions and abandonment. If we put it in a comparative way and to measure the magnitude of the problem, one of our most important cities, Cali, has approximately the same number of inhabitants.

Due to this sad and complicated situation, RexCatAme was born as a project with a special focus, because our idea is to support and empower local rescuers and animal lovers in vulnerable areas of the country, such as La Guajira Colombia, where the abuse, neglect and especially the oblivion in which these furry animals are kept is shocking.

Solo para que se den una idea, en Colombia se estima que al menos 2 millones de perros viven en condición de calle y abandono. Si lo ponemos de modo comparativo y para medir la magnitud del problema, una de nuestras ciudades mas importantes, Cali, tiene aproximadamente el mismo numero de habitantes.

The complicated situation in this desert area of our country is largely due to the extreme situation of poverty, water shortages and in general multiple factors that make people in the urban area and the indigenous communities that live there do not have the education and awareness necessary to be able to treat animals with dignity.

Debido a esta situación tan triste y complicada, RexCatAme nace como un proyecto con un enfoque especial, pues nuestra idea es poder apoyar y empoderar a los rescatistas y animalistas locales en zonas vulnerables del país, como La Guajira Colombia, donde el maltrato, el abandono y en especial el olvido en el que se tienen a estos peluditos es impactante.

Thanks to our experience gained in multiple trips and the good relationship we have with the local animal lovers of La Guajira we have supported and raised funds for sterilization campaigns that have impacted more than 600 animals, we have also conducted animal welfare campaigns, where we reached very poor neighborhoods and indigenous communities with food, deworming, and medicines first hand to help these forgotten beings. Finally and very important, we carry out education and awareness activities, especially with children. RexCatAme believes that unity is strength, and everything we have achieved has been thanks to allied foundations such as MestiSOS amor sin Raza in Bogota, D.O.G Hotels in Miami, our valuable volunteers, friends and

La situación tan complicada que vive esta zona desértica de nuestro país, se debe en gran parte por la extrema situación de pobreza, escases de agua y en general múltiples factores que hacen que las personas en el área urbana y las comunidades indígenas que allí habitan no cuenten con la educación y sensibilización necesaria para poder darle un trato digno a los animales. Gracias a nuestra experiencia obtenida en los múltiples viajes realizados y la buena relación que tenemos con los animalistas locales de la Guajira hemos apoyado y recaudado fondos para realizar jornadas de esterilización que han impactado a mas de

N CANAN On a visit to Art London art fair in 2010, Marion was inspired by Peter Clark’s humorous and quirky collages. So, after more than 20 years of using the medium of watercolor paints to express herself, she discovered the joy of clipping magazines to create these canine portraits.

She spends winters in Miami where the light, the vibrant art scene, the abundance of pet dogs, all contribute to her creativity and output. She uses magazine cuttings from such publications as Vogue, Vanity Fair and Architectural Digest which provide the quality of paper and the intensity of color to produce her vivid and colorful portraits. These collages can take upward of 30 hours to create in order to capture the true personality of the dog.
