GrowBiz

Enterprising Rural Perthshire A very "Happy New Year" from GrowBiz. We hope that you have enjoyed a break over the festive season and are looking forward to 2019.

018 was another busy and successful year for GrowBiz – we held over 100 enterprise events; engaged with more than 400 rural businesses; continued to lobby for changes to policy to support small and micro-enterprise to flourish; participated in the Rural Youth Ideas Festival and provided tailored 1:1 support to more than 200 entrepreneurs throughout rural Perth and Kinross. In November we celebrated becoming the first business mentoring program in Scotland to be awarded accreditation by the Scottish Mentoring Network. And through our Creative Care Project we provided an innovative enterprising response to the provision of care, support and wellbeing activities available to people in rural Perthshire. January is a time to reflect on the successes of the previous year, what worked well and to celebrate all that has been accomplished. It’s also a good time to do a health check on your business and personal development and look ahead to what you want to achieve in the coming year. In 2019 GrowBiz will have a focus on digital skills, and through our learning sessions and online workshops we’ll help you develop the tools you need for a thriving business whatever the economic challenges that lie ahead. We’ll start the year with a focus on wellbeing – and tax! Self-care when you are self-employed is often last on the list, but is crucial to your longterm resilience and success. And if you still have your 2017-18 tax return to submit, we can provide you with some expert advice.
