As a responsible dog owner, you must ensure that in unleashed dog exercise areas: •
You have effective command control of your dog,
Your dog has a collar and tag, is microchipped and registered;
You pick up after your dog;
You have a lead on your dog when you arrive at and depart an unleashed dog exercise area.

Please note: Rangers regularly patrol unleashed dog exercise areas to ensure compliance with these requirements. Rowland Reserve offers the only water access point. Dogs are not permitted on beaches. It is a requirement under the NSW Companion Animal Act 1998 to have your pet lifetime registered at the age of 6 months.

Registration is a two-step process; 1. You must have your pet microchipped by your local vet. If you are selling or giving away a pet, you must have them microchipped, regardless of age.

2. Once your pet has been microchipped, take the Microchip Certificate and Registration Form to your local Council to register your pet.
