MAXON Cinema 4D
Evaluation & effectiveness
Almost everything we did was on a PC or a Mac. For example, updating my blog, researching, editing, writing up my evaluation etc. I have learnt how to use a Mac and I'm now more confident and more familiar with Mac.
Flip Cam, Panasonic NVGS180
We used the Flip Cam in preproduction to film our vox pop. We used Panasonic NV-GS180 during production to film our opening sequence, this camera limited features so we couldn't use certain camera technique like shallow focus and manual focus pull. Other than that the camera performed very well, for example the automatic focus. During post production we used the Panasonic NV-GS180 to import the clips to edit and used the Flip Cam to record certain parts of our evaluation.
We used iMovie HD in preproduction to edit our vox pop and in post-production we used iMovie HD to edit our opening sequence. iMovie was very easy to use. It enabled us to do most of our editing like jump cuts. One thing that wasn't successful about iMovie is that we cannot import fonts into iMovie.
Sony Ericsson C510
I used Cinema 4D to create our production company intro. I personally thought that, this gave our opening sequence a professional look. I used Sony Ericsson C510 to take pictures for my beach combing.
Blogger, Issuu, YouTube, Prezzi, Google, IMDB, GMail
Internet was used constantly throughout this project. I used Google to conduct my research. I used YouTube to look at previous students opening sequence, upload my videos so I can out them on my blog, to annotate our opening Blogger, Issuu, sequence. I used Prezzi to make my YouTube, Google, treatment, this was a great site to GMail use because it enables people to create presentations for free, which enables people to be creative. I used IMDB to gain information about Film 4 films. I used GMail to save my work so I can do them at home and at school.
