Principles worthy of consideration It is what you learn after you know it all, that counts.

Don’t let making a living prevent you from making a life.

Make friendship an art. Make each day your masterpiece. The best thing a father can do for his children, is love their mother. Much will be accomplished by teamwork when no one is concerned about who gets credit. The best way to improve a team, is to improve yourself. Happiness begins where selfishness ends.

Brenda Harrison Editor

Ability may get you to the top, but character will keep you there. The smallest deed done, is better than the best intention. You can do more good by being good, than any other way.

Do not mistake activity for achievement. Forget favors given, remember those received. Big successes are in the smallest details. First get ready, then your chance will come. Because if you are not ready, you probably won’t recognize it to begin with.

to face success. Don’t let yesterday, take up today. Goals achieved with little effort are seldom worthwhile or lasting. As long as you try your best, you are never a failure. Material things are not gifts, but apologies for gifts. The only true gift is a portion of yourself. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center awarded the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center was awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP), an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). The hospital earned this distinction after the HFAP conducted an extensive and objective review of the Quality and

Safety Standards of the hospital, lab, ambulatory physical therapy, etc. “Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Lawrence Haspel, DO, Chairman of the Bureau of Healthcare Facilities Accreditation for the HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recog-

nized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement, and environmental safety. Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center met or exceeded the standards in every case.” “We’re proud to achieve this prestigious distinction,” said Tim Browne, Chief Executive Officer for Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. “The awarding
