End of the Year Day of Graduation and Celebration: Each

year we find ourselves reflecting on another amazing class of New School 7th graders on Graduation day. Throughout their years at New School, the graduating class of 2010 set a new standard for academic achievement as well as creativity and talent in the arts. We’re sad to see them go, yet proud that they will represent our school well as they continue to flourish in junior high school and beyond. On this graduation day, we also celebrated the achievements of our youngest elementary students, who’s path through New School has only just begun. Kindergarten Celebration honored our kindergarten students for the achievement of finishing their first year of “real” school. We look forward to all that they will bring to our school from now until their graduation day in 2017!

6th Grade at Space Camp: This spring, our 6th

grade class returned from another successful four-day trip to Space Camp in Huntsville, AL. Students participated in simulations of space conditions and learned about the NASA program through hands-on activities.

7th Grade in Washington D.C.: New School 7th graders traveled to our nation’s capital for a six-day trip in May to see for themselves important historical landmarks and government institutions. The trip was designed to tie together the lessons they learned throughout the school year in social studies.
