Ahead of the rains, the Lagos State government has embarked on drainage clearing to avoid flooding. It is using mechanised and manual methods to achieve its goal. To avoid a recurrence of what happened last year, the government is to construct and improve drainage channels around Surulere, Amuwo- Odofin, Mushin and Okota.
