ADOPTING AS A HIGH SCHOOL LESSON The recent article on music was very informative and well written. Without knocking or degrading, it brought out the potential of music — both on its bright side and in terms of its down and gory pitfalls. As a rebbi of boys that come from more or less traditional homes, these issues are extremely relevant. Both in rhythm and content, the songs that my talmidim listen to precludes the kedusha of Toras Hashem from really entering their minds and hearts — even though they sincerely want it to. Articles like this one would, I think, make a big impression on them, as it is coming from an informative point of view and not a “talking down,” condescending, self-righteous one.
