Atlas Paddling is Calin Barbu's Critical Practice Theory Manifesto. It uses the structure of six poems in prose to meditate on cities, their fragility, and human adaptation as a rite of survival. Situated in a world affected by a warming climate, the stories - fictional or otherwise - meander through the possibilities of architecture as an expression of adaptation.
Atlas Paddling was shortlisted for the 2017 RIBA Dissertation Medal. Calin will graduate from LSA in 2018.
