Between Bakklandet and Solsiden amongst the old remains of industry and brick walls you can find one of Trondheim’s hidden treasures, Café Løkka. Soothing indie, soul, funk and folk music is the backdrop of this unique setting. The ideal place to come and study, do lunch or just hang for a couple of beers; the ambience of Løkka is always perfect.

Trondheim’s first food hall (‘Mathall’) consist of a delicatessen full of local products, a coffee bar, a restaurant (with an aquavit bar) and a specialist beer shop. Finally local producers have an all-year outlet for their food and drink, including; local cheese and dairy products, organic veg, forest-bound meat, environmentally-friendly seafood, hundreds of beers, coffee, bread and much more!

Røst is located in the dramatic atmosphere of Trøndelag Teater. This stunning dining room has been used for wining and dining since the early 19th century, and now plays host to an up-and-coming group of chefs, who’ve taken center stage with their affordable fine-dining experience.

NordØst Food & Cocktails


North meets East! Many of the best ingredients from the Norwegian Coast are exported to Asia. At NordØst however their award-winning chef, Håkon Solbakk, takes flavours and techniques in the oposite direction, blending the best local ingredients with a flavor of the East. Also open late Thursday to Saturday for spell-binding signature cocktails.

Tacopedia is a 'fast casual' Mexican restaurant in Trondheim city centre. Everything they provide is made in house. First you choose your taco, then your meat, then you choose your salsa and your toppings. It's fast, tasty and healthy food at reasonable prices!

Kafé Soil sits in charming Bakklandet and serves up delicious organic homemade cakes and other baked goods. Vegan and raw alternatives ensure that there is something for everyone, and visitors can quench their thirst with locally-roasted coffee as well as juice and soda. Ramp Ramp Pub & Spiseri is a local bistro and pub located on the eastside of town, to be more precise in Svartlamon (Trondheim’s alternative area). We've been here for 12 years, serving our in-house produced burgers, hummus and delicious daily specials. We pride our self on local ingredients, in-house produced bread and cakes and on serving quality food and drinks.

Kalas & Canasta is a restaurant and bar located in the middle of charming Bakklandet, next to Gamle bybro (Old City Bridge). They have a bistro-inspired menu that varies depending on the season and access to fresh produce and local ingredients. Great for lunch, dinner or beer tasting at the bar with some ham and cheese.
