Dear Santa, Love,
Letter from the Head Elf
We are on the home stretch to finish the year out and what a year it has been. If you had told me a year I ago I would be sitting in this chair in this position I would have laughed at you and told you that I have the remaining years at the club etched out in my head. The things I still want to get done and continue to grow the golf side of this club are numerous. That said, after 20 years I am more excited than I have ever been for golf and the club. We have had some key roles in the club change and it is always a challenge to how to manage those changes. I have learned that hiring key positions in this business is key to success. I have always prided myself on finding good golf professionals to become a part of the Ledges Family. Knowing Jim Howell was on his way to retirement I knew having Wyatt here for a couple years was going to be invaluable to the club. His transition to Head of Grounds has been very smooth. Hiring a new Chef has been educational at the least, and I am hoping we have someone in place soon. But I am not going to hire someone just to fill the spot. I have a plan and I am going to stick to that plan. There are lots of people who can cook, I need someone who can run and develop the culinary experience at our club. I feel confident we are close to finding that person.
Holiday Season is here so make sure you plan accordingly. Check out our Holiday Schedule of events. We have Tree Lightings, Pro Shop Christmas Sale, tons of activities for the kids. Make sure to call the club and reserve your spot, It helps us so much in the planning of events. We even have some good weather days to play some golf and the course has been in such good shape all year considering what we had to go through with the Winter kill this Spring.
Lastly, I want to thank all the members who support our club and the talented staff we have here. We can’t do this thing without good members like each of you and we can’t provide the service you expect without this staff. If you get the opportunity to thank them this Holiday season I would appreciate it. I really get excited when I have a member tell me about a positive experience at the club. I usually follow that up by letting the staff involved know about it and the pride and joy they get out of hearing those comments goes a long way. The Ledges Family hopes all of you have a wonder Holiday Season and a very Happy New Year.
See you at the Club.
Rob Clark

Dear Members,
As the season winds down, I want to reflect on the tremendous work our staff has done in the past few months While maintaining the course to as high of a standard as possible, they have been able to lay over 20 truckloads of sod on areas throughout the golf course. This feat was accomplished by a team of experienced and dedicated people that care deeply about how this course looks and plays.
We have completed our application of pre-emergent herbicide for our fall/winter weed battle. Also, we have started our overseeding of the clubhouse, common areas, and driving range tees. They have been coming in very well despite the hot weather we had this summer. Additionally, we are raising heights on all areas of the course to help us be as prepared as possible for what could potentially be another cold winter.
The progress we have made on #4 has been substantial as well, with the sod establishment doing exceptionally well. That hole is back open for normal play (without carts) as of September 18th. Thank you so much for your patience during that process.
This fall we be battling leaves like usual, but we will also be addressing drainage issues that we have faced all year long around greens, tees and fairways. We will continue to address the irrigation issues and adding more heads in areas where we are lacking. Thanks to everyone for your understanding while we work to make this course the best it can possibly be.
Sincerely,
Director of Golf & Grounds, Wyatt Kotary

Dear Members,
We have made our list and checked it twice just to find out that you have all been NICE! We want to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season! As we reflect on 2024, we acknowledge the blessing it is that we are here alongside you. We would be remiss to not acknowledge the reason for the season. We are so thankful for Jesus being born and bringing joy to the world! Throughout the final two months of the year, we encourage you to slow down and just be with the ones you love most. Enjoy your time together. Collect moments, take pictures that aren’t posed, bake sweet treats, laugh a little more, and try to stress a little less. This year, let us all be a little more intentional with our thankfulness, and in case you need someone to make your spirits bright, when we count our blessings, we count you twice! Merry Christmas!
