For Irish Americans interested in supporting our Heritage, the Partnership is a sound investment in Ireland’s future.
The Irish American Partnership in Ireland and the United States In Ireland SCIENCE TEACHING & RESEARCH PROGRAM 30 RURAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN WESTERN IRELAND—1,500 STUDENTS
A North/South task force of Engineers, Scientists and Educators sponsored by Enterprise Ireland and The Irish Academy of Engineering, in an extensive published study, forcefully claim that Ireland requires at least 100,000 new Engineers and Computer Scientists by the Year 2020 for their economy to remain competitive. The task begins with Science Education—and science education begins in Ireland’s Primary Schools. The Partnership’s Science Education Program will have an impact on all of Ireland’s 3,000 Primary Schools. The Program is designed to build interest in science, focusing upon impressionable young people as they develop. It is one of our most significant programs.
