KAI PASIFIKA introduced unique ingredients from Pacific Island producers to New Zealand chefs, importers, distributors, food lovers, and media. The festival included 25 Invited chefs (including five of the Blue Pacific’s finest chefs sponsored by the New Zeaand government) spontaneously
creating new dishes from the heap of specially-imported ingredients from the Blue Pacific continent. The event was an initiative of Pacific Trade Invest NZ, which for more than 30 years has been the Pacific region’s lead trade promotion agency, the trade and investment arm of the Pacific Islands Forum.
