Our chosen path to change is through empowering diverse young leaders from around the world to reach their full potential. To do that in a way that transcends boundaries and borders, you need a strong and consistent framework for how you can engage different people, tackling different issues, from different cultures. A FRAMEWORK FOR ACTIVE GLOBAL CITIZENS

The International Development House is a growing community of youth taking action to make the world a better place, both globally and locally. We support young leaders of character in ideation and developing their own ideas of how to make positive impact, with the aim of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The bold agenda of the United Nations' SDGs, striving to end poverty, inequality, and climate change by the year 2030, was unanimously adopted by all 193 member states of the United Nations in 2015, gives us a framework for how we define positive social change in each country. Every part of our organizational framework is designed to mobilize youth for the SDGs, to create positive social change at all levels.

"INCLUSIVE EXCLUSIVITY" The IDHouse takes on the philosophy of "Inclusive Exclusivity," the principle that everyone should be able to change the world.

We believe that everyone should be able to make an impact if they want to. One of our key principles is "Inclusive Exclusivity," the notion that we view all citizens equally, and offer opportunities solely based on passion, desire, and drive to take action. We work with all young people based on their desire to make the world a better place, and nothing more.

As an example, all of our programs are open to all, no matter the country, creed, or experience. We make our selection decision for our programs solely based on passion, desire, and drive to take action, and our community is always open to all who want to join.

100% YOUTH LED That's right - you read that right. The International Development House is 100% youth led, from the top to the bottom. All of our Executive Board is under the age of 30, too. The incredibly diverse community of The IDHouse is one of our greatest strengths. We already represent over half of the countries in the world, and we're only just getting started. To maintain our relevance and our ability to scale our impact, we are and will always remain, 100% youth led. Our work is pioneered entirely by our Local, Regional, and Global Ambassadors, as well as piloted by our Executive Board.

OUR INTENTIONS FOR IMPACT The IDHouse intends to prove itself to all partners and members as a leading action-based forum for young changemakers all over the world. To do so, we operate with complete transparency. This is the only effective way that we can begin to scale our global impact. We ask our partners to do the same. By the year 2030, when the Sustainable Development Goals will be re-evaluated, we want to have directly empowered 50,000 individuals from all 193 UN Member States to take action on the SDGs.

2030: 50,000 people impacted

2022: 20,000 people impacted

2018: 3,000 people impacted

2016: Founding Date

PARTNERSHIPS FOR THE GOALS One of the major commonalities between The IDHouse and the United Nations is our commitment to partnerships. Through partnerships is the only way we can scale our impact effectively. Partners usually have focus areas which are easier than ever to define, thanks in part to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. Our aim is to build long-term, reciprocal relationships on local, national, and international levels. As such, we need to remain consistent with our values, mission, vision, and agenda, while coordinating with the purposes and policies of our partners.
