INTERNSHIP JOB DESCRIPTION – SOCIAL MEDIA
Post holder requirements:
Increase social media engagement (i.e. increase number of Twitter followers, Facebook fans, etc). Advise on Social Media strategy. Create reports and analyze patterns on community growth, revenue, engagement, and other metrics to measure the overall vitality of social communities. Research and identify emerging viral marketing technology that will grow the brand. Monitor trends in social media technologies, tools, and applications and apply that knowledge.
Post holder skills:
Extensive knowledge of social media marketing and content strategy. Knowing what it takes to make a campaign go viral is essential. Report writing. Initiative. MS word and excel proficiency. Excellent communication. Ability to work on own, and have own work-space including access to a computer and the internet.
The post will be mainly home-based, with regular face-to-face meetings with the director and team. Hours are flexible and will be negotiated. Hours worked will be a minimum of 8 per week and a maximum of 40. The post is for a period of 6 months, with a trial period of one month. The post is unpaid.
