T s A C E R O F E H T In a backyard near you, in the not-too distant future, four women from four corners of the globe float in mid-air. They are fleeing war, poverty, debt and environmental destruction. Trying to improve their lives, they have agreed to work as society’s latest consumer craze, the status symbol for every middle class household: human garden ornaments. As the reality of what they have signed up for, and who they are literally stuck with, becomes clear, this four-way odd couple bicker, banter and are forced to confront what freedom really means to them. Inspired in part by George saunders’ short story The Semplica Girl Diaries, and developed in collaboration with olivier Award winning writer Bola agbaje, Limbik’s latest show looks into the future and wonders where on earth we might be heading. featuring giant dresses on wheels, shadow play and live music, this is a big, bonkers and prescient piece about what people are willing to sacrifice for a better life.

BREATHE: DANCE FOR WELLBEING SUMMER SCHOOL Breathe is a summer school for those of us who want to improve our wellbeing, get creative and challenge ourselves in working towards a performance in The Garage theatre. The idea of performing can be a bit daunting, but not much can beat the buzz we can get when we step out of our comfort zone and onto the stage! Each day will include a dance class to strengthen the body and mind, creative work, improvisation with each day ending with a meditation.  Participants will work alongside the dance artist to create a piece which will then be performed on The Garage stage.  Participants need to be available for all of the dates listed below. DATEs TUESDAY 29 - THURSDAY 31 AUGUSt 10am–3.30pm Friday 1 SEPTEMBER 10AM-7PM
