Profile
Founded by Daryl Crimp (Crimpy) and Annette some 19 years ago turning their passion for the outdoors and all things hunting and fishing into a popular media publication.
October 2023 saw a changing of the guard with the founders stepping back, selling the paper to kiwi expat Nicola Morris. Crimpy and Annette haven’t gone anywhere now and can still be found writing an article, proofing a page or providing advice.
Nicola’s experience of the NZ outdoors started very young (that’s her in the cot) living a dream childhood which involved tramping, hunting and road trips around the country to set up camp and sample the local fishing , hunting and general outdoors.
Years overseas in China and South America highlighted to Nicola the importance of the outdoors lifestyle - for recreation, for enjoyment, for food on the table and for general well being.
