I could tell from the way my friends cut their eyes quickly toward each other and away that I was not making sense. I let the topic go. At home that night I sat down at my computer and created a little sign to contemplate at my desk each day. It was not comforting but it did proclaim an essential truth regarding my perspective on my elderly father’s foray into romance. In three simple words the message I gave myself was: GET OVER IT.
