For alumni, donors, and friends of The Evergreen State College
Dear Fellow Greener, In my time at Evergreen, my focus was always on giving back: I ran the Shellfish Club, I served on student government and was an orientation guide, I organized a successful campaign to commit the campus to better food purchasing. And, this year, I’m serving as student trustee on Evergreen’s Board of Trustees. I will graduate in June and am already thinking about what I will do to continue this habit of giving after I’ve left campus. As a young, new college graduate, I might not have the capacity to give in large amounts, but I am committing myself to a yearly donation of $10 to the Evergreen Annual Fund. Why? Because I believe in Evergreen. I’ve seen the energy and passion in my peers, and I’ve been inspired by the work of Evergreen graduates before me. I want to play a role in ensuring that the students who will thrive at Evergreen are given the financial support they need. For me, a donation to Evergreen is one that cultivates a substantial return; I know that it will go toward educating and supporting future generations of changemakers. My dream is to change the world through food. Like Greeners before me and after me, Evergreen has given me the tools to be a leader in my field and to promote the Evergreen values of justice, sustainability, collaboration, responsibility, and creativity. Together, we can ensure that one’s ability to pay is not a hindrance to their potential at Evergreen, and beyond. Please join me in making a gift to the Evergreen Annual Fund at evergreen.edu/annualfund2016. Omnia Extares!
