Launched during the 2018 Egypt Petroleum Show, the Women In Energy Awards honour female talent in the oil and gas sector and recognise oil and gas companies fostering inclusion and diversity within their business. An integral part of the EGYPS Women In Energy Conference, the Awards and are led by a high-level and impartial Regional Select Jury of industry leaders, academics, and energy leaders from oil and gas companies and leading universities. We invite you to submit your entries for the opportunity to be recongised by the industry at the largest gathering of oil and gas professionals in Egypt, North Africa and the Mediterranean.

AWARD 1: WOMEN IN LEADERSHIP Women In Leadership recognises contributions of a senior female professional from the oil and gas sector who has displayed exceptional leadership skills, mentored teams, and contributed to the industry. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • Female professional with 10+ years of work experience in the oil and gas industry. • Nominee must be a Director or senior for at least two years within technical leadership or strategic management positions • Individuals from technical and non-technical functions can submit • Female professionals from Egypt, Africa, and the Mediterranean regions may submit entries WHO CAN SUBMIT NOMINATIONS? • Nominations can be made by the individual directly • Colleagues, peers or the business can also nominate individuals • Companies may nominate more than one employee/individual in this category • Please do not submit your nominations more than once. If multiple entries are received, the most recent entry will be considered. Older entries will be deleted. PLEASE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS IN SUPPORT OF YOUR ENTRY: • Cover letter summarising why the individual has been nominated (not more than 1,000 words) or is submitting their nomination. Your cover letter must be personalised, and must ‘tell a story’. • The cover letter must include information on: • Initiatives taken to improve business performance, management and leadership structures, internal processes; and added value to projects, and contributed to the growth of the company • Successfully demonstrated leadership skills including but not limited to vision, communication, adaptability, mentorship, empowerment, commitment

• Recommendation letters from the team members, business stakeholders, and/ or clients supporting display of exemplary leadership skills by the candidate. • Information about speaking engagements and/or mentorship activities, if any • Articles, publications, if any • Evidence of industry awards/recognition received, if any • CSR activities and initiatives, if any • Please ensure that any recommendations and publications submitted to support the nomination should not be older than 1 April 2017 and not later than 1 June 2018. ENTRIES WILL BE EVALUATED BY THE JURY ON: • Originality: Quality and originality of the submission • Achievements and Experience: The submission and references must clearly outline the scope of work, achievements and leadership qualities • Mentorship: Mentoring younger professionals, women, and teams to advance within their careers • Role Model: The submission must illustrate how the nominee displays potential to act as a role model for other women in the business

AWARD 2: NEX-GEN FEMALE OF THE YEAR Nex-Gen Female of the Year recognises contributions of a young, upcoming female professional who is a high performing individual and has consistently demonstrated the potential to be a future business and industry leader. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • Female professional (between 20 – 35 years old) • Less than 10 years of work experience in the oil and gas industry with a Bachelor’s degree or above • Individuals from technical and non-technical functions can submitted • Female professionals from Egypt, Africa, and the Mediterranean regions may submit entries WHO CAN SUBMIT NOMINATIONS? • Nominations can be made by the individual directly • Colleagues, peers or the business can also nominate individuals • Companies may nominate more than one employee/individual in this category • Please do not submit your nominations more than once. If multiple entries are received, the most recent entry will be considered. Older entries will be deleted. AWARD 3: STEM STAR OF THE YEAR STEM Star of the Year recognises high potential female university students currently pursuing STEM degrees with a keen interest in pursuing careers in oil and gas industry. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • High potential female student (between 21 30 years of age) • Pursuing STEM related degrees (Bachelors, Masters or PhD), and have a keen interest in pursuing careers in the oil and gas industry • Female students from Egypt, Africa, and the Mediterranean regions may submit entries WHO CAN SUBMIT NOMINATIONS? • Nominations can be made by the individual directly • Universities can also nominate individual students • Universities may nominate more than one female student in this category • Please do not submit your nominations more than once. AWARD 4: EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR CHAMPIONING INCLUSION & DIVERSITY Employer of the Year Championing Inclusion & Diversity recognises oil and gas companies that have, through initiative and process, fostered an inclusive and diverse working culture within the business.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA • Oil and gas companies based in Egypt, Africa and the Mediterranean regions with active operations for at least three years in the region where they are submitting from • Nominations can be submitted by NOCs, IOCs, Service Providers, OEMs, Technology and Solution Providers, Government Sector, and any business working within the oil and gas value chain WHO CAN SUBMIT NOMINATIONS? • Nominations to be submitted by a company representative • One company can only submit one nomination • Joint ventures, subsidiaries, merged and/ or acquired companies with separate brand presence and diversity initiatives may submit separate nominations • Please do not submit your nominations more than once. If multiple entries are received, the most recent entry will be considered. ENTRIES WILL BE EVALUATED BY THE JURY ON: • Originality: Quality and originality of the submission • Initiatives: Initiatives taken by the business to bridge the gender and wage gap; flexibility programmes offered to working women and mothers; initiatives taken to get more female engineers on the field; progress made within the business after starting the initiatives. Initiatives will be evaluated based on the impact and quality generated rather than quantity.
