Red Frogs, helping hands and a Sunday car wash This last Sunday, a very enthusiastic young adult group got together with some buckets and cloths and soap and set about washing car after car after car after… ECC Hatfield has partnered with an organisation called Red Frogs that operates as a help sevice in Balito during Matric Vac (or “Rage,” as the event is known). Red Frogs is concerned with looking after people in this often out-of-control time – driving the drunk home, giving out water, creating a presence so people, students particularly, know there is help. There is a team from ECC going to help for a week in early December and have needed to raise funds for this for expenses like petrol. After this Sunday’s car wash, they made what they needed and more! To everyone who brought a dirty car… thank you!

Leadership Appreciation Dinner At this time of year, we have the opportunity of thanking those who have served in various capacities at various times. On 2 November, Eastside hosted a leadership appreciation dinner to thank those who have led different ministries specifically. It was a great night of good food, great laughs, some fun (like handing out awards like the “Pick Me Pick Me I’ll Do it Award” and the “I Drifted Off During The Meeting Award”), worship and some live music entertainment, thanks to Gray Manicom. Join us this Sunday for our Appreciation Service as we give glory to God by thanking those who have served in whatever way over the last year. There is so much to be grateful for.
