Admin and advancing the Kingdom God’s faithfulness in growing His Kingdom is mind-blowing – that we, flawed man, would be used as tools in His hands for the establishing and growing of His church is an incredible privilege. At ECC Hatfield, we have seen students serve tirelessly week in and out, inviting their friends – churched and unchurched – and intentionally seeking Jesus as the centre of their lives. We want to impact the student community as much as possible, and for that to be most effective we need to get involved on the Tuks campus. For this to happen we have to register as a society. This sounds simple, however, the process is an administrative challenge, to be polite. Please pray with us as we enter the administration of this, that we would have favour and wisdom to ensure everything happens as efficiently as possible so we can continue to advance.

Eastside’s first ever Spring Ministry Fair This last Sunday was a wonderful sunny Spring day with delicious boerewors rolls sold for the brick fund, different stalls displayed for people to sign up to serve the body in different ministries, jazz music in the background, and fun and friends from the youngest to the oldest. (Photos on page four.)

A word from Riaan Dear Church, We continue to hear what God is doing through you. Honestly, I am amazed at what God is doing way beyond the borders of Eastside. When we started this journey the prayer team asked God to make this passage in 1 Thessalonians 1:2-8 a reflection of us as a community: “We always thank God for all of you and pray for you constantly. As we pray to our God and Father about you, we think of your faithful work, your loving deeds, and the enduring hope you have because of our Lord Jesus Christ. We know, dear brothers and sisters, that God loves you and has chosen you to be his own people. For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you. So you received the message with joy from the Holy Spirit in spite of the severe suffering it brought you. In this way, you imitated both us and the Lord. As a result, you have become an example to all the believers in Greece—throughout both Macedonia and Achaia. And now the word of the Lord is ringing out from you to people everywhere, even beyond Macedonia and Achaia, for wherever we go we find people telling us about your faith in God. We don’t need to tell them about it…” Note a few things:  The spirit working in the community of faith validating the message the apostles were preaching  People everywhere heard that God loved them because these believers were courageous enough to simply talk and demonstrate in real life what God was doing  The message was reaching areas that they probably never thought would be reached because of them. As people have communicated with me regarding our journey this year I have seen the same impact as with the church in Thesalonica. God is doing great things among us. Keep going, keep living, keep doing, keep telling your story together with others around you. Together we are not just impacting our own lives but the community around us. I keep praying for more, please pray with me. Riaan

Up, up and away! This past week our children had the flight of their lives under the steering of Pilot RobsTheBall and the good co-pilot, namely, Auto Pilot. We flew to Helpful Hills and had a smooth landing, without one single passenger needing a brown paper

bag. Our lovely air hostesses looked after the passengers with food and drink. The older children chose items from the menu, with the Orange team choosing the swimming arm bands which would have come in handy should Pilot

RobsTheBall's landing skills have proved poor. Once the children landed in Helpful Hills they learned how God designed us to serve Him by serving other people. The children could then make and fly their own aerodynamic paper planes which proved a great hit! Now that we're on the top of Helpful Hills, how will we travel onwards? Don't miss this week to find out!
