WHO’S OPENING AND WHERE Nordstrom, Inc. (206-628-2111) is planning to open a 35,000 sq.ft. Nordstrom Rack store at Boulevard Consumer Square, a 650,000 sq.ft. shopping center located in Buffalo, NY during fall 2015. The company will join Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Barnes & Noble, Lowe’s Home Improvement and Trader’s Joes at the site and will be the first location in western NY. The company is also planning to open a Nordstrom store along West 57th Street, between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, south of Central Park, in Manhattan, NY during 2018. It will be the company’s first full-line department store in New York, NY. The chain offers apparel, footwear and accessories for men and women, and currently operates more than 270 locations nationwide throughout 36 states, trading as Nordstrom at 117 locations, Nordstrom Rack at 150 locations, Jeffrey boutique at two locations and one clearance outlet.
