World Forum World Economic Economic Forum World Economic Forum Brochure The brief:
What we did:
As a part of its preparations for the World Economic Forum (WEF) 'Inaugural Summit on the Global Agenda' event that took place in Dubai from November 7th to 9th 2008, The Government of Dubai, represented by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and the UAE Prime Minister's Executive Office commissioned THECONTENT|FACTORY to create a book about the economic success of the Emirate. The book was to be given out to delegates, who were leading global economic thinkers, and therefore had to be written and designed to meet their high expectations - and all within just two months!
The overall concept of the book was developed to portray Dubai as a modern, economy-savvy business destination. Everything from the content to the design and photography was aimed at illustrating the dynamism and energy the city emanates. Given the high level of participation at the forum, the content had to talk to a higher caliber of audience, but at the same time portray the economic success of Dubai in a very easy to read, accessible manner. The content was therefore developed utilizing the skills of Dubai-based economists and linguists. The photography, which was conceptualized and directed by THECONTENT|FACTORY, and the design and layout of the book, were crafted to portray that dynamism and the kinetic energy produced by all aspects of business in Dubai.
Result: Two thousand copies of the book were produced and delivered on time, to budget and to the full satisfaction of the Executive Office. HH Sheikh Mohammed's opening speech at the inauguration of the event was extracted from the content we developed.
2000 successfully produced copies
