Words to Encourage you
For with God nothing shall be impossible. ~Luke 1:37
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
You saw a treasure in me, lord?
by Caswell Smart
All my life i thought that i was the one who gave up everything to follow Jesus. O how i'd often reflect upon the things i gave up; friends, families, parties, sex and drugs to follow him. I thought Jesus was the hidden treasure and the pearl like no other. And when i found him, i gave up everything and sold everything to have this treasure, but i was wrong, the treasure and the pearl is me and Jesus found me and gave up everything to have me. You saw a treasure in me lord ? This broken, miseable boy? Such truth is too deep for me. Is it worth it? Then he said, the value of something is determined by the one who is willing to pay for it. He continues to say, that he was walking through the field of the universe and he stumbled upon this thing called planet earth and when he digged, he found this pearl, this treasure that he called Caswell. Then out of joy he went to his father and said,' i have found this pearl and i will like to have it, how much will it costs me? 'And his father said,'son, it will cost you everything.' And then Jesus said, 'father i will take it.' Jesus saw my broken sinful nature, he knew what he was getting. This very Caswell that has disappointed him in my choices and has brought him often to shame. Yes he loved me and said to his father that he will give up everything to have me. This love is too wondeful for me. Jesus looked not upon my brokeness, but what i can become by his grace. For every saint had a past and every sinner a future. He gave up everything just for me, his life, his thrown and communion with his father just to have. He went all the way to calvery just to save me. Jesus value me more than his own life. His death on the cross says to me that Jesus rather go to hell for me than to live in heaven with out me. If that is not love then tell me what it is. When i looked inside the mirror I always found that something was either too small or big, but Jesus says that i like everything about you, that's why i made you that way. I like your big nose and the way you smile, so don't take away nor add to what i have made you with, because you are apsolutely handsome and valuable in my eyes. Friends, Jesus values you and me and gave his life for you and me. He wants to save you and take you to heaven, but he can only take you to heaven if you will be happy there. God saw a priceless treasure in all of us. And he does not only love us, but he likes us also and wants to be our friends and not only our father. But he can only become your friend and saviour if you let him.
The Bible in Nature I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. Isaiah 41:18
And he shall offer the one of the turtledoves, or of the young pigeons, such as he can get; Leviticus 14:30
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1
The Earth is the Lord's, and the fulmess thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Psalm 24:1
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Psalm 19:1
And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Matthew 6:29
A Revelation We as Christians these days and as children of God will surely find it hard to live a Godly lifestyle in this present world. It may not be easy but I'm going to show you how. Quoting from the book of Hebrews chapter 1 verses 1 and 2, it says, "1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." It says "let us lay aside every weight, and sin which doth easily beset us", this may seem like such a hard thing to do but it really isn't. With God all things are possible and also in Romans 8:31 - "What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?" and further on it goes on to say in verse 37-39 "37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Fellow believers I know we can do this and also motivate the hearts of other too for the pleasures of this world are only for A SEASON, however, the things of GOD are ETERNAL. It says "the wages of sin is DEATH, but the *GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL* LIFE through JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD." - Romans 6:23. We need to lay aside every weight, not some but "every" and run the race with patience. Many of us especially those athletes that running a race isn't easy and it only takes one little mistake to get off track. For example, when an athlete is running a race, he/she CANNOT run out of his lane or he/she will be disqualified, also, he CANNOT run with heavy weights on him, therefore he runs in his own lane with his eyes fixed on the finish line. Continued on next page..
The Christian life is no different; it is also a race that we must win. If we like the athlete run out of our lane, then we are living a double standard and God DOES NOT approve of that, therefore we should *STAY IN OUR LANES* and keep our eyes fixed on GOD who is the AUTHOR and FINISHER of our faith. As I always say God should never be out co-pilot, he should be the pilot and with him as the pilot in our lives, *WE WILL NEVER GO WRONG*. It says in a scripture which I quoted earlier, "in ALL these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS THROUGH HIM THAT LOVED US". We can't be saying God and not meaning God! In a sermon which my father ministered a couple Sundays ago, he said, "I wonder if the time would come when we sit at home on a Sunday morning and feel happy about it". Those were his words and that is a fact! Many of us these days take it hard upon themselves to give GOD a few hours of their time! A little bit of rain comes and they're not going to church...Plenty rain comes and carnival bound. This should NOT be the case. STAY IN YOUR LANE! KNOW WHERE YOU BELONG! I am going to conclude on this not by saying to all those who have walked a rugged pathway and struggled with living a godly lifestyle and are now on the right pathway but are still having the urge to go back to the things of the world, ask yourself this question, "Who am I going back to?"

Thursday 8:30pm Est Prayer Session
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life. St John 3:16 Jesus Christ loves you and he died to save you and give you everlasting life. If you have not accepted him as yet, Here's prayer of Salvation. "Heavenly Father, have mercy on me, a sinner. I believe in you and that your word is true. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that he died on the cross so that I may now have forgiveness for my sins and eternal life. I know that without you in my heart my life is meaningless. I believe in my heart that you, Lord God, raised Him from the dead. Please Jesus forgive me, for every sin I have ever committed or done in my heart, please Lord Jesus forgive me and come into my heart as my personal Lord and Savior today. I need you to be my Father and my friend. I give you my life and ask you to take full control from this moment on; I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ." Amen. Read the bible daily and seek to learn more about Jesus.
“No matter what trials or temptations you are facing, allow God to see you through
