Area Schools: reading, writing..and giving Sure, they text during class, download iTunes, and search new phone apps--but Utah area students are also compassionate and concerned about the plight of their peers and other young people who suffer from abuse and neglect. The Christmas Box International has benefited not only from many volunteer hours, but, this year alone, Utah students have contributed hard cash in excess of $13,600 to support efforts to clothe, shelter and make healthy these children in despair. Cash contributions from area high schools have been received from: Ben Lomond , Bingham, Box Elder, Highland, Layton, Spanish Fork and Weber High Schools. In addition, generous donations have also been gathered and donated by Bates Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, West Point Elementary and Sunset Junior High School. These contributions not only help sustain programs needed to provide peace and well being to abused youngsters, but they also represent the goodness and maturity of youth.

Shocking News On August 10, 2011 CBI founder and author Richard Paul Evans will release an exciting new novel, MICHAEL VEY: Prisoner of Cell 25. This is his first young adult novel and it has been met with great enthusiasm by everyone who has read it. Richard says, “It’s interesting that this book came to me at this time, when the Young Adult genre is being flooded with the very opposite kind of book– Christmas Box International stories with dark and dystopian themes. Michael Vey is an adventure story CELEBRATING 15 YEARS about hope, loyalty, courage and love. Yes, it’s also scary at times, but that of serving CHILDREN at risk just makes it fun!” MICHAEL VEY: The Prisoner of Cell 25 is the first in a www.thechristmasboxhouse.org series of seven books.
