NONPROFIT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM Do you want to make a lasting contribution to a local nonprofit while earning 6 or 12 credits? The Center for Leadership and Social Change is now accepting applications for Spring 2013 Nonprofit Internship Program. This competitive program is designed to students to work halftime or full-time in the community and develop professional skills while earning credit. Previous interns have worked in: child development, juvenile justice, health services, homelessness, hunger, environment, government, and more. Find out more on our website. WEBMASTER VOLUNTEER NEEDED The Center for the Advancement of Human Rights has conducted nationwide projects on varies human rights issues. We are currently extending an opportunity for a graduate or motivated undergraduate student for the fall 2012 semester to gain hands on work experience and service hours. This person would work between 5-10 hours a week designing changes to the existing webpage and making recommendations for future ideas or concepts. This is an unpaid volunteer position which offers both work experience and the opportunity to have service hours recorded on the student’s Florida State University transcript, using the ServScript Program. OLDER GENTLEMEN REQUIRES A VOLUNTEER To move, open and unpack approximately 45 boxes of books and other home items, pack in boxes surplus home items for delivery to Goodwill Industries, rearrange home furnishings after boxes have been handled, clean, mop tile floors, vacuum carpeted floors, wash car. Payment: 1st period - $15 per hour for up to 4 hours - $60 (portion of hour counts as 1 hour) 2nd period - $15 per hour for up to 8 hours -$120 (portion of hour counts as 1 hour) Can be flexible with the time periods to meet a student's schedule. FLORIDA’S WATER AND LAND LEGACY INTERNSHIPS

As a dynamic environmental campaign on a tight deadline, we are looking for enthusiastic interns who are willing to commit ten or more hours a week to helping us at campaign headquarters in Tallahassee. Here are some of the positions we need filled: Events Intern Research events around the state of Florida, gather information on those events, enter into a database, call contact persons about availability of tables/tents, etc. as well as any policies that event might have on gathering signatures. Policies Intern Research corporate policy on public signature gathering, i.e. Publix, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, etc. Data Entry Intern Enter new volunteer data into our database. Phone Bank Intern Assist the Phone Bank Coordinator with calling and confirming volunteers scheduled to phone bank. Petitions Intern Assist Operations Manager in processing petitions and petition packet assembly.
