WELCOME

2026-2027 CENTER PRESENTS SEASON SPONSORED BY ALLIED SOLUTIONS Prepare yourself for the most expansive season in the history of Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts, with 70 performances already booked and more on the way. The upcoming calendar illustrates our continued commitment to diverse, world-class programming, with living legends and rising stars from the worlds of pop, rock, jazz, classical, soul, hip-hop, folk, comedy, the American Songbook, international music, family programming and more.

The season includes two new performance series: The Studio M Tribute Series pays homage to legendary artists and bands who have shaped the history of popular music. The JPMorganChase Spotlight Series focuses on performers whose talents extend beyond music, such as comedians, illusionists, cultural figures and compelling speakers.

Over the past year, we have continued to make the Allied Solutions Center campus safer and more accessible for people of all abilities.

The number of accessible parking spaces on the drive around Carter Green has doubled to eight, including five new van-accessible spaces for groups. Handrails have been installed in the stairstep aisles of the Tarkington theater, which also has a beautiful new LED stage lighting system. Our website at TheCenterPresents.org – the only authorized online source for tickets to our venues – has been enhanced with the UserWay widget to give viewers more control over the experience. More information on accessibility is on Page 50.

Among the improvements at the Payne & Mencias Palladium, touchless automatic door openers have been installed in restrooms, and a new Bluetooth-based assistive-listening system can provide high-quality audio through patrons’ own hearing aids or earbuds, without need for special devices. The venue remains certified Sensory Inclusive®, with staff training and a range of onsite accommodations to make the live event experience more comfortable for the 1 in 4 Americans who have special sensory needs.

ABOUT ALLIED SOLUTIONS CENTER Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts is a nonprofit arts and education organization responsible for the operation and programming of a three-venue campus at Carmel’s City Center. Together, the 1,500-seat Payne & Mencias Palladium, the 500-seat Tarkington and the black box Studio Theater create a welcoming environment for the regional community to experience and participate in all forms of the performing arts.

Each year, the Center Presents performance season offers scores of concerts and other events in the fields of pop, rock, jazz, classical, international music, comedy, family programming and more. Allied Solutions Center is home to the affiliated Great American Songbook Foundation and provides space and support services for six Resident Companies: Actors Theatre of Indiana, Carmel Symphony Orchestra, Central Indiana Dance Ensemble, Civic Theatre, Gregory Hancock Dance Theatre and Indiana Wind Symphony. Center facilities also are available for rental events, including performances, corporate meetings, weddings and other social occasions.

Since the opening of the Payne & Mencias Palladium in 2011, Allied Solutions Center has been a leader in the Indiana arts community, hosting over 4,000 performances and more than 1.76 million ticketed patrons from all 92 counties in the state, all 50 U.S. states and 30-plus nations.

The campus also welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors each year for public events such as the Carmel Farmers Market and the holiday Christkindlmarkt.

Education and experiential programs at Allied Solutions Center include the interactive Peanut Butter & Jam concert series for preschoolers, free Student Matinees and science demonstrations for school groups, FrontRow artist Q&A sessions for music students, the Prism Project arts camp for youth with disabilities, and our Student Discount Ticket program, offering Center Presents student tickets for only $15. Programs for adults include the Luminaries speaker series, the Palladium Bookies reading club, ticket discounts for first-responders and military personnel, and classes in vocal performance, ukulele, songwriting and stand-up comedy.

Songbook Academy in Concert celebrates the enduring spirit of American popular music through the voices of the next generation.

As the culminating performance of the annual Songbook Academy®, the Great American Songbook Foundation’s premier educational program, this inspiring evening brings together exceptional young vocalists from across the nation to honor our rich musical legacy. Hosted by Songbook Foundation founder and five-time Grammy Award nominee Michael Feinstein, the concert features standout solos and vibrant ensemble numbers reflecting the breadth, diversity and timeless appeal of the Great American Songbook.

A consummate performer, Harry Connick, Jr., has exemplified excellence in the entertainment world for decades – be it music, film, television or Broadway. His prodigious talent has earned him Grammy, Emmy and Tony recognition, plus album sales in excess of 30 million and sold-out concerts around the world. Backed by his stellar band, this special concert will showcase the full breadth of Connick’s artistry – from jazz standards and New Orleans classics to his masterful originals and career-defining hits.

Get ready for an unforgettable evening as three of contemporary jazz’s most celebrated artists come together for one extraordinary performance. Pianist and producer extraordinaire Brian Simpson – known for his lush, cinematic soundscapes and soulful grooves – joins forces with the electrifying Jackiem Joyner, whose saxophone work blends smooth jazz with gospel fire and raw emotion, and the radiant Jessy J, whose warm, honeyed sax tone and magnetic stage presence have made her one of the genre’s brightest stars. Together, these three powerhouses promise a night of seamless improvisation, infectious rhythm, and music that moves you from the inside out.

World-renowned drummer and composer Stewart Copeland will share stories from his acclaimed career on his first U.S. spoken-word tour, Have I Said Too Much – The Police, Hollywood, and Other Adventures.

The evening will include conversation, video, rarely seen images and a Q&A session with Copeland, founder of the massively successful rock band the Police (with 75 million records sold), multiple Grammy winner, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, writer, filmmaker and composer of film scores, operas and video game soundtracks. He also has published two autobiographical books and recently led the Police Deranged for Orchestra tour, which played the Payne & Mencias Palladium in 2023.

GLADYS KNIGHT

The great ones endure, and Gladys Knight has long been one of the greatest. Very few singers over the last 60 years have matched her unassailable artistry. This seven-time Grammy Award winner has enjoyed #1 hits in Pop, Gospel, R&B and Adult Contemporary, and has triumphed in film, television and live performance. All told, Knight has recorded more than 38 albums and has continued to spread her acting wings. In 2022, she was recognized at the 45th Kennedy Center Honors for lifetime artistic achievement, and she has since received the National Medal of Arts and the 2024 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

MICHAEL BLAUSTEIN THE TASTE ME TOUR: THE FINAL LEG Michael Blaustein is one of the fastest-rising stand-up comedians working today. His viral stand-up comedy clips have amassed over 900 million views across all social media platforms. He has sold out venues across the world, most recently closing out his successful 2025 tour year with over 70,000 tickets sold. When he’s not on the road, he’s co-hosting the chart-topping hit comedy podcast Stiff Socks with Trevor Wallace, which has over 70 million downloads.

Blaustein has also worked with brands such as Manscaped, Liquid Death and BetterHelp. Now he returns to the stage for the final leg of his wildly successful Taste Me Tour, giving fans one last chance to catch this set live.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 2026 PAYNE & MENCIAS PALLADIUM The Center Celebration 2026 presented by Ice Miller is a night to ignite creativity, open doors for students, and ensure the arts are accessible to all. Hosted by Artistic Director Michael Feinstein and headlined by The Bacon Brothers, featuring Michael and Kevin Bacon, the annual event supports Allied Solutions Center’s arts and educational programming. The black-tie evening will begin with the First Merchants Bank Red Carpet Arrival and Cocktail Reception, followed by an elegant dinner and live auction in the concert hall and after-parties with live music, dancing, drinks and late-night food in two themed rooms.

LOU GRAMM THE ORIGINAL VOICE OF FOREIGNER

THE RELEASED TOUR

As the frontman for Foreigner, Lou Gramm became one of the top rock voices of the late 1970s and 1980s, delivering a long string of hits including “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Double Vision,” “Dirty White Boy” and “Juke Box Hero.” He co-wrote most songs for the band, which scored two of its biggest hits with the ballads “Waiting for a Girl Like You” and “I Want to Know What Love Is,” an international chart-topper. Demola is a singer-songwriter, record producer, award-winning, self-taught multi-genre violinist and electrifying live performer known for redefining the sound and cultural perception of the violin in contemporary music. Sitar maestro and composer Niladri Kumaar frequently collaborated with Hussain, and the two Indian music legends were profiled in a 2017 documentary, The Space Between the Notes. Under that same title, Kumaar is releasing a live album from his only recorded concert with Hussain and leading an ensemble with keyboards, drums and tabla on a tour paying tribute to his late friend.

Hasta La Muerte is an enthralling new production created by Las Cafeteras in the spirit of the Indigenous/Mexican practice known as Day of the Dead.

The two-act theatrical and musical performance explores the stages of grief and loss through the celebration of life and death. The production revisits Mexican folklore to tell new stories, engage old archetypes, challenge patriarchy, uplift the role of curanderas and re-examine our imagination about “death” and the “afterlife.” Hasta La Muerte combines mesmerizing choreography, poetry and a score of original and traditional songs for a night of transcendent color and sound and a moving invitation to travel through time, rhythm and memory.

Born and raised in Detroit, BLKBOK (born Charles Wilson III) was an acclaimed piano prodigy by age 8, winning statewide accolades and college-level competitions. He chose the name BLKBOK as a nod to one of the greatest keyboardists and composers of all time and a reflection of his journey from pop and hip-hop to his critically acclaimed neo-classical work. In 2025, he released Urban Etudes: Vol. 1, a collaborative EP with Beats by JT that blends classical form with rhythm in a powerful sonic dialogue. YEFIM RYAN AHLWARDT BRONFMAN, PIANO CRYING IN THE CANYON One of the world’s most acclaimed and admired pianists, Yefim Bronfman is known for his commanding technique, power and exceptional lyrical gifts. Born in the Soviet Union, he immigrated to Israel in 1973 and studied in the United States at The Juilliard School, Marlboro School of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music.

HOLIDAYS IN JON MCLAUGHLIN HARMONY WITH & FRIENDS GIRL NAMED TOM HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS Siblings Bekah, Caleb and Joshua Liechty formed Girl Named Tom in 2019 and won Season 21 of NBC’s The Voice with their tight harmonies and heartfelt songwriting. Since then, the trio has headlined nationwide tours, performed at the Grand Ole Opry, the Indianapolis 500 and on The Ellen Show, and shared stages with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra, Kelsea Ballerini, Lady A and Pentatonix. Their latest release, Dust to Dust, hit the Top 10 of the iTunes charts. This performance will feature reimagined holiday classics and timeless originals including their chart-topping single, “One More Christmas.”

Returning for the fourth-straight season, Hoosier-born singer-songwriter Jon McLaughlin will perform original Christmas tunes as well as holiday classics alongside some of his talented friends. The Anderson native has been attracting fans with his heartfelt, hook-laden songwriting and impassioned delivery since his 2007 debut album, Indiana. He has released several full-length albums in the years since, revealing a true evolution in both his piano playing and singing.

CHRISTMAS TOUR 2026 On their 29th jazz-based Christmas tour, saxophonist Dave Koz and his musical friends will perform fresh renditions of timeless holiday classics along with hits from their respective catalogs. Joining Koz this year are longtime collaborator Jonathan Butler; singer-songwriter Haley Reinhart, a veteran of American Idol and Postmodern Jukebox; pop-soul guitarist/vocalist Dylan Chambers; and vocalist Erin Stevenson. BALLET FOLKLÓRICO DE MÉXICO DE AMALIA HERNÁNDEZ For over seven decades, Amalia Hernández’s Ballet Folklórico de México has positioned itself as the most emblematic folkloric dance ensemble in Mexico and around the world. Founded by dancer/ choreographer Hernández in 1952, the Ballet Folklórico de México has revolutionized the world of traditional Mexican dance, laying the groundwork and setting the tone for thousands of dance troupes in Mexico and abroad. Their work is inspired by her in-depth research into Mexico’s regional dance styles, music, costuming and customs.

ACADEMY OF ST MARTIN IN THE FIELDS

WITH CONRAD TAO Founded in 1958, the Academy of St Martin in the Fields is one of the world’s most-recorded orchestras and one of the U.K.’s most celebrated cultural exports. Under Music Director Joshua Bell, its player-led approach empowers every member of the orchestra, resulting in ambitious and collaborative performances that transcend the traditional conductor-led model. In its ambitious 2025-2026 season, ASMF undertook four tours across Europe and four to the U.S., including its first Carnegie Hall appearance in 20 years. Pianist-composer Conrad Tao will be the soloist in this program of Mozart, Copland and Crawford Seeger.

PAVLO AND BAND IN CONCERT Born in Toronto to Greek parents, guitarist Pavlo is an internationally renowned, award-winning recording artist, performer and songwriter behind 15 albums and four PBS TV concert specials, including Live in Santorini. UNITED STATES NAVY BAND The U.S. Navy’s premier wind ensemble is touring the Midwest with a family-friendly concert featuring patriotic selections, marches, orchestral transcriptions and modern wind ensemble repertoire.

As the original ensemble of the Navy Band, the Concert Band has been performing public concerts and participating in high-profile events for 99 years, with regional tours around the country among its core responsibilities. Continuing Allied Solutions Center’s tradition of annual military band concerts, tickets for this performance will be available free in early 2027.

Roll Over Beethoven is a vivid fever log for a speaker and orchestra in which the character of Ludwig van Beethoven – portrayed by acclaimed actor John Malkovich – addresses the audience directly with a monologue based on the Heiligenstadt Testament: a despairing 1802 letter Beethoven wrote to his brothers about his existential struggle with progressing deafness. Episodes of the story are interwoven with Beethoven’s music, performed by the Vienna Academy Orchestra and its artistic director, Martin Haselböck. Founded by Haselböck in 1985, the orchestra is considered one of the most important period-instrument ensembles in the world.

SPYRO GYRA WITH SPECIAL GUEST STANLEY JORDAN One of the most successful instrumental groups to emerge from the 1970s jazz fusion era, Spyro Gyra has played over 10,000 shows, released more than 30 albums and claimed 13 Grammy nominations in its half-century history. Founder and saxophonist Jay Beckenstein still leads the band, which includes longtime members Julio Fernandez on guitar and Scott Ambush on bass. Opening the evening will be Stanley Jordan, who has blazed his own trail on jazz guitar with a signature two-handed tapping technique that opens up expansive, piano-like possibilities on the instrument. He has released 14 albums as a bandleader and collaborated with many top artists.

Hailing from Switzerland but now based in North Carolina, brothers Jens Kruger (banjo, vocals) and Uwe Kruger (guitar, vocals) began performing in childhood and since 1989 have teamed with bassist Joel Landsberg for a sound that infuses classical music into folk and bluegrass. Jens is a recipient of the Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo & Bluegrass and a member of the American Banjo Museum Hall of Fame. Growing to a quartet with the addition of mandolinist Jonah Horton in 2025, the Kruger Brothers personify the spirit of exploration and innovation at the heart of the American musical tradition.

Yasmin Williams grew up surrounded by music in Virginia and began developing her innovative fingerstyle acoustic guitar technique while studying music theory and composition at New York University. She is known for unique approaches, such as playing kalimba and guitar simultaneously, and she also incorporates instruments such as the kora, harp guitar and banjo. Despite her use of folk instruments, she resists being categorized within the genre, valuing creative freedom over conformity. Her third album, Acadia, is available on Nonesuch Records.

In 2027, the Brubeck Brothers Quartet celebrates 70 years of Dave Brubeck's 1957 record, Dave Digs Disney, by revisiting the music and incorporating new arrangements of more modern Disney film classics. Drummer Dan Brubeck and bassist, trombonist and composer Chris Brubeck have been making music together practically all their lives. They’ve subsequently played a variety of styles in a number of different groups, as well as with their father, jazz giant Dave Brubeck, and with their own Brubeck Brothers Quartet. With Dan and Chris as the foundation, guitarist Mike DeMicco and pianist Chuck Lamb complete this dynamic quartet.

New Works: An Arts Commission Project is an initiative by Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts to promote and sustain Indiana’s working artists and arts communities by supporting the creation of new works across all performing arts disciplines. Each year, three performing arts proposals and one visual arts proposal are selected by the judging panel for a public premiere performance and talkback discussion. The winning visual arts project is displayed at the Payne & Mencias Palladium for one year.

Naptown Hepcats got their start as a tribute to Stray Cats, cutting their teeth on the high-energy sound and style that defined the genre. Over time, they evolved into a sound of their own, writing original material that captures the same intensity while pushing the music forward. Now, with the release of their debut album, Naptown Hepcats, the band has fully stepped into its identity as a driving force in contemporary rockabilly.

Renowned saxophonist Todd Williams and his trio bring refined artistry to the Tarkington stage with lyricism and class. Before moving to Indiana, Williams was a member of the Wynton Marsalis Quintet, Septet and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra. He currently serves as Assistant Professor of Music Education at Indiana Wesleyan University.

Jeremiah Cosner is an American singer-songwriter blending vintage blues, modern rock and catchy, honest lyricism. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist who began writing songs at age 12, Cosner draws inspiration from his Midwest roots and his grandfather’s love of poetry. His 2022 EP featured standout tracks “Home,” “Get There When I Can” and “Fly Fishing.” He is backed by drummer Craig Wiley and longtime bassist James Ledesma.

Hasta La Muerte is an enthralling new production created by Las Cafeteras in the spirit of the Indigenous/Mexican practice known as Day of the Dead. The two-act theatrical and musical performance revisits Mexican folklore to tell new stories, engage old archetypes, challenge patriarchy, uplift the role of curanderas and re-examine our imagination about “death” and the “afterlife.”

TaikoProject has astonished audiences worldwide since 2000, blending ancient Japanese taiko drumming tradition and 21st century American innovation to create a riot of movement and thundering rhythm. The group has performed on the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards and NBC’s The Voice and has performed and recorded with artists including Stevie Wonder, Peter Gabriel, Hans Zimmer, Alicia Keys and John Legend.

TRANSPORTATION GRANT PROGRAM Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts’ Transportation Grant Program provides funding for public, private, parochial and homeschool educators in central Indiana to bring their students to educational programs and performances at Allied Solutions Center.

The grant may be applied only toward transportation associated with Center Presents performances and programs.

School groups may apply for grants up to $400 per bus.

The maximum grant per school/per event is $1000.

Reimbursement will be made after the field trip has occurred and will be based on actual expenses submitted.

Homeschool organizations must have a minimum of 15 students, traveling in the same vehicle, in order to apply for transportationrelated funds. School groups must make a field trip reservation with Allied Solutions Center prior to seeking a Transportation Grant. The school is responsible for providing vehicles, drivers and chaperones.

Through drumming and other music and movement activities in an imaginary rainforest, young children learn basic principles of rhythm and groove as well as positive character qualities.

Our weekday speaker series meets every other month for a presentation on the arts, education and inspiration.

PRISM PROJECT CAMP

Designed for youth with disabilities ages 6-25, this month-long performing arts day camp engages participants in music, dance and theater as they rehearse and present an original show for a public audience.

PALLADIUM PALS BOOK CLUB Kids can earn free tickets to a Center Presents performance by reading related books from our list. Even toddlers can participate with adult help.

PALLADIUM BOOKIES This book club for adults meets every other month to socialize and discuss books about the performing arts.

STAND-UP COMEDY CLASSES Led by professional comedians, Intro to Stand-Up Comedy and the next-level Stand-Up Comedy Practicum guide participants in writing their own routines, with an emphasis on live performance.

In five weekly group sessions, students learn fun songs and fundamentals of rhythm, strumming, picking and chord melody.

Prior to Center Presents classical music performances, ticketholders can attend these free expert presentations to learn about the featured composers and repertoire.

In these morning sessions for ages 1- 5, kids and their caregivers explore concepts like rhyme, rhythm, melody and beat through fun group activities. Sponsored by Westfield Veterinary Care.

Designed for ages 1-7, these monthly Saturday morning sessions encourage young children to become engaged in the performing arts.

Two adults can attend free per ticket order.

High school and college students of the performing arts receive complimentary admission to a Center Presents performance, along with dinner and a Q&A session at the artist’s sound check.

In this fun and interactive 60-minute program, Allied Solution Center’s production technicians use the Payne & Mencias Palladium’s concert lighting and sound systems to illustrate basic science principles.

SONGWRITING CLASS

Working songwriters lead this five-week course that explores the elements of the craft and provides opportunities for participants to co-write and collaborate with other musicians.
