News in brief

Medical Society sponsors fundraiser for cancer During the week of February 20-24, the Medical Society sponsored Olive Garden’s Pasta for Pennies to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students were encouraged to bring in the spare change they had lying around the house and to donate it. The competition was between third block classes to see which class could raise the most money. The

club also sold t-shirts reading “Cancer Bites” on the front and “Bite Back for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society,” on the back. The money raised was donated and the winning class received Olive Garden pasta lunch. Last year, Dorman raised $4,120.38 just from collecting.
