Living In The Arena Of

FAITH Pastor Charles Omofomah

Living in the arena of faith simply means living in the realm of

not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. John 14:8-10

The Bible says that without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6), turning that around would read “With faith it is possible to please God.” Putting it simply, faith is the avenue through which we can please God. Still the Bible says if a man’s ways please God, He will make even his enemy to be at peace with him (Proverbs 16:7). So whatever the name of your situation is, if your ways pleases God because you are living by faith, even your enemy will be at peace with you. It means you will experience peace, where nothing will be missing and nothing will be broken. The fundamental thing that the enemy wants to destroy is your faith but when he tries and sees that you are living by faith, it ends as an exercise in futility. However, there are certain prerequisites for you to know before you can begin to live in the arena of faith. In John 13, Jesus began to prepare His disciples with the Word for His departure. He did that because He was going to be out of the scene and He needed them to live by faith. He explained that the realm they were going to operate in was a realm where He will not be with them physically. So He was telling them that after now, the only thing that will make them survive is if they believed in Him. Thus they had to live in the arena of faith. When you live in the arena of faith, Jesus guarantees that whatever you ask of

One way we believe the lie of the enemy is by acting on it. Something may have been given a name and said to run in your family tree, and then you go on google.com and you become a doctor or an expert at its symptoms, so much that when next you go for your appointment with your doctor, they are amazed. Thomas had just asked a question to which Jesus said He is the way, the truth and the life. So when a description of the Father was requested by Philip, Jesus had to bring out our @irst prerequisite in verse 9 above. Look at two things here: “known Me” and “seen Me.” One thing that makes knowing or seeing things possible is the presence of light, which is knowledge. If I should introduce you to someone in a dark room, you can’t con@idently say you know that person because you didn’t “see” him or her in the darkness. Once there is light, you can see the person and vice versa. When Jesus said those words, He was saying you should not live in the realm of the senses; you should live in the realm of revelation knowledge. In essence, the only way to live in the arena of faith is by revelation knowledge or by the light. Jesus is the express image of the invisible God, that is why when you have a revelation of Jesus, you have a revelation of the Father.
