OW! How did it get to be November already? I am not really sure, but it is a month packed full of events and activities. Daylight Savings Time ends on the 2nd. November 4th is Election Day and it is your responsibility to vote. It is also Use Your Own Common Sense Day. What a coincidence! Christian evangelist Billy Graham will be 96 on the 7th. The Marine Corps celebrates its 239th birthday on the 10th and the 11th is Veterans Day. There will be parades to participate in and veterans to acknowledge. Be there. Do it! The 11th is also World War II General George S. Patton’s birthday. The Continental Congress adopted the Articles of Confederation on November 15, 1777 and the Great American Smokeout Day is celebrated (?) on November 20. Thanksgiving Day is November 27th this year. The toy runs have already begun, and will be in full swing in November. Check out The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine Cruisin’ Calendar in this issue or online at FullThrottleMagazaine.com for the most complete listing in the Carolinas. You can also scan the QR Code in the Cruisin’ Calendar with your smart phone to see events that came in after this issue went to print. Cool, huh? Be sure to check out our advertisers for your Holiday shopping needs and be sure to tell them that you saw their ad in The Carolinas’ Full Throttle Magazine. If you have an upcoming charity event (not limited to toy runs), list it for FREE on line or by e-mailing it to: editor@FTCarolinas.com. There is still time to list your December events. Do it NOW! We also have deeply discounted display ads for charities and benefits. Call 336-885-5400 for details and rates. The location for the 17th Attempt, Almost a Tradition, Pre Daytona, Valentine’s Day Party and Oyster Roast on February 14th is Locked & Loaded in Garner, NC. We will be giving away FREE chicken wings and oysters while they last and raffling off a 51” Samsung flat screen TV and a diamond heart pendant. There will also be tons of giveaways as usual. Plan to be there for the biggest FOF party ever! Now get out there and RIDE!
