Our founding partners, Anthony Dannible and Lance McKee, established the firm 39 years ago and we’ve grown steadily ever since. Currently, we have a staff of 90 professionals and support personnel. There are many factors that have contributed over the years to our impressive growth, including the increasing demand of specialized services. Forensic Accounting is a great example of a specialty area where we have seen a significant increase. Whether a client suspects employee embezzlement or financial statement fraud, our team of CPA’s who are Certified Fraud Examiners (CFE) assist in collecting, analyzing and summarizing financial data to expose any fraudulent activities. Our team also helps clients design corrective action plans and monitor antifraud internal controls and compliance systems to prevent these types of incidents from happening in the first place.
Another area of increased demand is Business Valuation and Ownership Transition. We find this trend to be largely attributed to the Baby Boomer generation. They have been driving, and are expected to continue to drive, the increase in the sale of businesses given their influential ownership of private companies. As such, they rely on their accountants for valuation engagements, proper tax planning and the transition of ownership. As we head into 2017, with the admission of two new partners, Dannible & McKee is looking forward to expanding into new corners of New York State. Recent partnerships with CPA affiliates in Binghamton and Buffalo are sure to provide substantial opportunities for Dannible & McKee to build our brand and solidify our presence in the Southern Tier and Western New York areas. While the footprint of our firm continues to expand, we are proud to remain steadfast in maintaining our roots in the heart of Downtown Syracuse. As part of this commitment, Dannible & McKee recently executed a new long-term lease which included an office expansion and a complete renovation of space. The updates provide a modern and sophisticated feel with a space that is designed to encourage collaboration and allow for additional growth. We are proud of our heritage and renewing our lease is representative of our commitment to continue doing business in the market where it all began.
