ay you live in interesting times,” as it is sometimes  said…and indeed we do. Looking ahead to 2017,  Research and Marketing Strategies, Inc. (RMS) expects to continue the growth it has experienced over the past several years. Despite a somewhat sluggish economy here in CNY, market research demand for RMS continues to expand. Niche manufacturing is making a real comeback and the need for Voice of the Customer (VoC) primary research is growing. Our analytics team at RMS has unique tools and research methods that identify customer needs and expectations. Healthcare, another key industry for RMS, continues to expand its need for market research, from community needs assessment work to patient surveys (CAHPS®) to Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition™ consulting. Regardless of what happens to the federal Affordable Care Act, this increased healthcare research demand is expected to continue to grow as the country embraces value-based healthcare. RMS does significant work with the secondary and post-secondary education sector as well. This industry segment is dealing with significant pressures from a declining traditional student market to increased costs and new educational models. The RMS team has been working to uncover new curriculum opportunities tied directly to labor demand. Finally, the banking and finance marketplace continues to expand its use of research to understand customer experience, loyalty, image and awareness and competitive positioning. The RMS team works locally with a number of financial institutions to supply the data and pertinent information for effective decision making. This past year, RMS undertook significant renovations to its office space located in Baldwinsville, NY. Most importantly, the QualiSight focus group facility and call center has been enhanced to optimize workflow and increase the comfort of focus group participants and viewers. With CNY being a top test market, we conduct focus groups for many national clients’ new products, services, media campaigns and branding.
