HONEYMOON IN THE WHITSUNDAYS AIRLIE BEACH

TRENDING...
editor’s note Wow. So. Much. Happening at The Bride's Tree HQ at the moment! These past few months have been a ton of fun. We took a few of our beloved A-list Vendors to a watercolour art workshop with Cass Deller Design, where we became instant incredible artists of all things botanical… Okay we became sort of average beginners, but we did learn a lot, and enjoyed some bubbles, nibbles and good company, so that’s the main thing.

Our very first ebook hit the digital stands! So now every bride looking for their Sunshine Coast wedding venue will have the perfect starting point in our Best Sunshine Coast Wedding Venues Guide. We broke everything down, found out all the important details and made them into the prettiest little ebook you’ve ever seen, guaranteed. Stacks of info, loads of piccies – we got you, girl. I was also very lucky to take a trip with Tourism Whitsundays to Airlie Beach, which weathered a cyclone earlier this year, but I was so impressed to see how the locals have gotten back on their feet. The place is seriously as beautiful as ever. I ate some of the best food of my life in Airlie Beach and stayed in some of the most luxurious hotels, all of which boast incredible water views . In this edition I share some of my Airlie honeymoon tips. Love,
Sal xo

You can’t help but wonder what it’s like to live in Airlie, especially when every local you meet is so darn cheerful. From here you can easily travel to any of the islands, however staying put in Airlie beach also offers plenty of luxury accommodation options if romance, amazing food and spectacular views are high on your priority list. Coral Sea Resort is built on and around the old town public pool, which now serves as the resort pool. Great for holiday laps for those wanting to keep the daily workouts in the mix. And for those with more relaxing pursuits in mind, by the pool overlooking the marina makes for a perfect cocktail hour location.
At sunset, mosey down to ANZAC Point with a cheeky champagne before following the locals on foot to a local fave, Fish D’Vine, where both the seafood cuisine and rum bar are famous. Peppers on Airlie is home to Tides Restaurant and Bar, which is renowned for its amazing food and incredible service and open air setting with views to the Coral Sea. The bar staff will helpfully point you in the direction of Tides’ signature chocolate dessert, so if you’re planning one night of decadence in Airlie, this is it.
